I believe that this verse is a direct reference to Matt 7:21-23, that says many will say Lord, Lord, but I never knew you! exactly, they NEVER did the things Jesus told them to do, so the works they did in Matt 7:21-23, were not through Jesus, that's why it ask the question, have we not? Jesus NEVER answered YES: KNOW CHRIST today, through a RELATIONSHIP, not religion; ( Lk 6:46 ) God bless!

You can talk how you want to talk, but the fact of the matter is that out of your heart is going to tell where you really are; in your belief, or if born again, in your communion with God; ( Lk 6:45 ) God bless!

Good tree, good fruit ( words of Jesus )

You can tell whether or not you are being fruitful in your own life or in the life of others, if good or bad fruit is producing out of their lives! ( Lk 6:43 ) God bless!

Concerned with yourself ( words of Jesus )

Be concerned with the beam ( incorrect, wrong ) in your own eye, before pointing the finger at others; usually when you have one finger pointing at someone, there are four pointing back at you; ( Lk 6:41 ) God bless!

Sunday!

Lose confidence!

Disobedience, hardens your heart towards God, and His word, and it makes you lose confidence in God; Remain focus on Jesus, and God's Word, and you will begin not to want to sin ( Heb 3:13 ) God bless!

Become like teacher ( words of Jesus )

The person learning is not above the person they learned from; meaning the learner becomes like the teacher; so even you people in secular High School, or College; make sure the things you are being taught you search for yourself to make sure it is true; believe half of what you read, none of what you hear; what does that mean, hear or read something, and search yourself as well; ( LK 6:40 ) God bless!

Can blind lead blind? ( words of Jesus )

If the blind, don't understand the ways of God, are leading the blind; they'll eventually fall into a ditch, death, which is depression, no joy, not content, old ready to die, or hell; so who are you looking, listening, and attending your time, and heart to; the world, or the word; ( Lk 6:39 ) God bless!

GIVE, give unto you ( words of Jesus )

Give money, time, resources, healing, love, respect, etc, and it will be given back to you with the same measure you gave it; it's a spiritual law; ( Lk 6:38 ) God bless!

Forgive ( words of Jesus )

This is NOT the basis of God's forgiveness for you; When you accept Christ, the first thing God does is forgive you, and he did that over 2000 years ago; but if you don't forgive others, that shows you don't under how God's forgiveness works for you; once you understand His forgiveness, you'll forgive others; ( Lk 6:37 ) God bless!

Mercy ( words of Jesus )

Mercy is not getting what you deserve; Grace is getting what you don't deserve; if you show mercy to others, then that shows that you understand properly that God has mercy on you; this DOESN'T MEAN that you have to show mercy FOR GOD to show mercy on you; You can't make God love you by doing anything, He loves you unconditionally; ( Lk 6:36 ) God bless!

If you love people that love you, or lend to people you know will pay you back; Jesus is saying that even unbelievers do that; Do things contrary to the world, and lend to people you know can't pay you back, or forgive those that hurt you the worst; ( Lk 6: 32-35 ) God bless!

Golden rule ( words of Jesus )

Do to others as you would have them do on to you; enough said; ( Lk 6:31 ) God bless!

Give, and don't ask back! ( words of Jesus )

Give to others ALWAYS, who are in need; be looking for opportunities to do that; and if others do you wrong, or take from you, don't ask for it back; expect a seven fold return when thieves take from you; ( Lk 6:30 ) ( Prov 6:31 ) God bless!

Don't entertain!

We can't control ungodly thoughts from coming, but we don't have to entertain them; you can't stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop it from building a nest in it! ( 2 Cor 10: 4-5 ) God bless!

Turn other cheek ( words of Jesus )

I would not let someone beat me or my wife or kids; but we are to be slow to fight if someone attacks us; we should ALWAYS look for the peace in the situation; ( Lk 6:29 ) God bless!

Bless them that curse you ( words of Jesus )

Bless ( speak good of ) them that curse you; how do you do that; thank you Lord for this person that is strengthening me through persecution, because I know the battle is not against flesh, and blood anyway; so I speak a blessing ( good of any kind ) on this person; ( Lk 6:28 ) God bless!

Love enemies! ( words of Jesus )

For anyone to say love your enemies, that has to be God; the world would teach to get revenge; what is your source, is it the word or world; Jesus says love your enemies; don't accept what they do, but love them unconditionally; ( Lk 6:27 ) God bless!

Truth, not what want to hear ( words of Jesus )

The false prophets in the old testament people liked, because they said what people wanted to hear instead of truth, and people liked them for that, they were popular; teaching the truth will offend people, and you will not be popular with world; care what God thinks, not people; ( Lk 6:26 ) God bless!

Woe to the full! ( words of Jesus )

Jesus is saying woe! ( grievous distress of trouble ) to those who think they are full spiritually, and don't need a Saviour; and who laugh, and mock at the things of God;  will cry later; ( Lk 6:25 ) God bless!

Meditate on word!

Meditating on the word of God doesn't come naturally, so you have to on purpose find some time for the word, so the Holy Spirit can have something to remind you of; then like you meditate on the things of the world, you can entertain the word in your thoughts through out the day! Rich without Christ ( words of Jesus )

I believe that Jesus is talking about Rich wealthy people, without Him as the source, put there trust in there money, and woe to them, because it's hard to cultivate their heart's, because the money they trust in; and Jesus could also mean people who think they don't need a Savior, woe to them for thinking they can do this on their own; ( Lk 6:24 ) God bless!

Rewards in heaven ( words of Jesus )

Christians under estimate the rewards in heaven, because we seem to only think about now!; but in heaven, some will have better rewards than others; WITHOUT a jealous bone in our new bodies! Amen ( LK 6:23 ) God bless!
