If a friend would take the time at midnight to help you even though they didn't want to; how much more would God give you the Holy Spirit, and spiritual gives, if you ask; you don't have to wonder if God will give you spiritual gifts, or things of His will or not, He wants to, more than you want it; ( Lk 11:5-13 ) God bless!
