Dying, not trying!

Pharisees, publican ( words of Jesus ) PARABLE FRIDAY

The pharisee went up to the temple to pray, and he prayed a prideful prayer " look at me", and the publican prayed a humble prayer " God have mercy on me a sinner "; the point is humble yourself, and you be exalted; God loves the humble, He is able to move in their life! ( Lk 18:10-14 ) God bless!

Think your right! ( words of Jesus )

People that think they are righteous, because of all the commandments that they keep, then Jesus like He did this rich man, attacks the heart, by asking people to give up all they owe, whether money, material things, etc, then follow Him; Jesus was also telling this man that He is MORE than a master, He is God! ( Lk 18:19-22 ) God bless!

Childlike faith ( words of Jesus )

The disciples probably thought, that the kids were wasting Jesus time, when they came to him, but ALL children are saved, before the age of able to make a decision ( 2 Sam 12:23; 1 Jn 2:12 ) that age is up to God, this is consistent with scripture, with kids being saved, but we have to make a decision as Jesus being Lord; and children have a forgiving, trust, acceptance way about themselves, which is how God wants us to come to him; ( Lk 18:16-17 ) God bless!

Pharisee vs publican; parable ( words of Jesus )

Jesus was saying this parable, because people trust in themselves, and despised others; the pharisee prayed saying, that he is not a sinner, and look what he does, and the other humbled himself, and said have mercy on me a sinner; understand, YOU ARE NOT RIGHTEOUS WITHOUT JESUS, and humble yourself before the Lord! ( Lk 18: 9-14 ) God bless!

Unjust judge; parable ( words of Jesus )

There was a judge, who treated people unjustly, and Jesus is saying, won't God avenge his own elect, and He will do it speedily, and when the Son of man comes, he will find faith on earth; God will get revenge for His people, when you are living intentionally righteous, and doing no wrong; ( Lk 18:1-8 ) God bless!

Show up!

I have heard that 80% ,or could be more or less, of life is showing up, show up, and give God a chance to speak, and work through your life in situations! ( Prov 16:3 ) God bless!

Unjust judge ( words of Jesus ) PARABLE FRIDAY

Jesus told his disciples to pray this without ceasing; that God would bring justice to His chosen people, on people who don't respect God, and treat his people wrong; ( Lk 18: 1-8 ) God bless!

Taken! ( words of Jesus )

Jesus will return, and we will not be able to turn back, or bring anything with us; You're not going to have a second chance; He compared this to lots wife, there is no looking back! some will be left behind, and others will be taken ( Lk 17: 31-36 ) God bless!

Just like days of Noah, Lot ( words of Jesus )

Jesus was saying, just like the days of Noah ( Gen 6:11-13 ) and Lot (  Gen 13:13 ) that's how the days are going to be, before the Son of Man, Jesus - human being prophesied into a Divine leader -  will be; look at the world today! ( Lk 17:23-28 ) God bless!

Christ evident! ( words of Jesus )

People will come saying they are the Christ, but Jesus return will be evident, with signs in the sky, and abnormal things going on, in other words you will know! be prepared by accepting Jesus as Lord, and studying your word, to discern what a lie is! ( Lk 17: 22-25 ) God bless!

Martin Luther King jr, stood for Christianity, that we are all equal, and God is not a respecter of persons; he stood for no divisions; encouraging for today as well; ( Acts 10:34 ) God bless!

Go deeper!

Jesus told Peter to cast his net into the deeper part of the sea; I believe the application we can take from this today is, if you want to catch fish, go to the deep part of the sea ( the challenging, difficult parts ) of  peoples character, and parts of life! ( Lk 5:4 ) God bless!

Wedding Banquet ( words of Jesus ) PARABLE FRIDAY

This King ( God ) planned a marriage for His Son ( Jesus ) and He sent servants ( Christians ) out to invite people ( non believers ) to the marriage; none came, so He considered them UNWORTHY; then He sent them out again, and invited ALL v10, bad, and good, and some guest didn't have on the right garment ( clothed in the blood of Jesus ) so they got cast into outer darkness; receive your invitation today, to be married, joined together, with Christ; v14 - All are gathered together v10, many called ( hear the calling ) few chosen ( answer )!

Faith made whole ( words of Jesus )

Faith from the person praying, along with the faith of the person receiving, believing in faith, is what makes people whole! your faith makes you whole today! ( Lk 17:19 ) God bless!

Many ways ( words of Jesus )

Not an immediate manifestation, then don't bend, and say it didn't work, continue resisting the devil, by a repentant heart, ( intentional right believing, and living ), and continue in the word only, only speaking the word in your situation, until the manifestation, Jesus shows here it is not always instant, God has said yes to healing already, it's just us finding how we will receive that! ( Lk 17:11-14 ) God bless!

Our responsibility ; parable ( words of Jesus )

It is our responsibility, to serve others out of faith, we don't need to look for recognition, even though God does acknowledge what we do, from God, as if He owes us for acting like a Christian; it's our duty to serve others! ( Lk 17: 7-10 ) God bless!

Faith probably not issue! ( words of Jesus )

If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, with according to Mk 4:31 is the LEAST size of the seeds, then you can uproot sycamine trees, uproot things in your life, with the faith we were given; We need to practice on how to use the faith we have; ( Lk 17:6 ) God bless!

Be intentional!

Put on the full armor of God, put on Jesus, let the peace of God rule in your heart, put on the new man, put on charity, and on, and on, scripture after scripture about putting on, and letting, means to do these things on purpose, meaning be intentional with living as a Christian! ( Col 3:14-16 ) God bless!

Unprofitable servant ( words of Jesus ) PARABLE FRIDAY

Yes it is nice to get thanked for doing things, and we should thank people, but as Christians, we should not look for recognition when we do our Christian duties, that we are suppose to do!; we are suppose to love, have faith, hope, etc; ( Lk 17:6-10 ) God bless!

Rebuke thee! ( words of Jesus )

Take heed ( careful attention ) to yourself, that if your brother sin against thee, rebuke ( disapprove ) thee, for we are not to put up with sin, and lies, but stay with a forgiving heart! ( Lk 17:3 ) God bless!

Offended ( words of Jesus )

People WILL offend ( annoy, irritate ) you in this life time, its to many different personalities, and everybody is different, that's how God created it; there is a balance to how you handle it, and letting people use you as a doormate; love people, but deal with situations, it's called repent; ( Lk 17:1 ) God bless!

Rich man,and Lazarus; parable; ( words of Jesus )

The rich man, who had it  all everyday, and Lazarus who had nothing, but the tables turned in Abraham's bosom, ( holding place until Jesus conquered death for old testament saints ) and the rich man went to hell, and seen Abraham from far off, and just wanted Lazarus to dip his hand in water, and give him some, being hot in the heat, so the rich man wanted Abraham to testify to his five brothers, so they wouldn't go to hell; if they wouldn't listen to the prophets, they won't listen to one who rose from the dead; receive Jesus today; and one benefit of that is no hell, which is real!  ( Lk 16:19-31 ) God bless!

Unjust steward; parable; ( words of Jesus )

A steward was trusted by his master with what to do with the riches he gave him, he was not investing in the future, instead spending it on himself, so he did a ungodly system, and begin to call all his masters servants, and cut there debt in half, so when his master kicks him out, they will receive him, even that will work in this world's system, but Jesus is saying spend your money on saving the lost, so in eternity they will welcome you for that, if you can't be trusted with earthly money, how will you be faith with eternal things! ( Lk 16:1-13 ) God bless!

Believe!

It's not a question of if you are good, Jesus is good; right believing leads to right living; wrong believing, trusting in yourself, sin, hardens your heart to believe God; believe God today! ( Jn 6:29 ) God bless!

Rich man, and Lazarus; ( words of Jesus ) PARABLE FRIDAY!

The rich man had good things his whole life, and Lazarus didn't, now the tables turned, and the rich man didn't want his brothers to go there, then it says, if they didn't receive prophets, then they won't receive someone who rose from the dead; don't let it be to late, receive Jesus today! ( Lk 16: 19-31 ) God bless!

Unjust steward; parable; ( words of Jesus )

A steward spend his masters riches, unwisely, by spending it on himself, instead of investing in others, then he finally used worldly wisdom, and used a worldly method to plan to pay his master back, even that will work in this world, but God wants us to spend our riches on saving the ungodly, so they can welcome us in eternity; if you are not faithful with worldly money, how can you be faithful with eternal benefits! ( Lk 16:1-13 ) God bless!
