BHM- Tony Nathan was a All-American football player in the 70's in Alabama, that his faith along with others changed the culture of a whole high school, and state; You can see this in the movie " Woodlawn ";

Reborn, transformed; There will be people in heaven, that at their last breath, received Christ, as Lord; Along with people that spent most of their lives serving God; Both make it to heaven; ( Lk 13:30 ) God bless!

BHM- Samuel Leamon Younge Jr- Civil rights activists; not sure if believer; Most, if not all, civil rights leaders were; Shot by White owner of gas station over segregated rest rooms; Again point, these events fueled rights that America has today, not perfect, but progress made;

Reborn, transformed- Recently, as of yesterday, left a post on social media about this topic; God is only judge of salvation ( 1 Cor 4:4-5 ); Its funny how most humans stress " you aren't saved" when believers are struggling with drugs, pork, etc; Jesus only statement of him not knowing people, we're the one's stating that they were doing the work of God; Totally different group he judged not saved; Point, if a believer is struggling their problem is a unrenewed mind ( Rom 12:1-2 ); If they never grow, leave it up to them and God ( 1 Cor 4:4-5; Rom 2:1-4; 1 Sam 16:7 ); ( Lk 13:24-27 ) God bless!

BHM- Virgil Lamar Ware, a 13 yr old boy riding on the handle bars of a bike, shot, killed, due to 16th st church bombing 09/15/63; Point, not to bring back the horrible news, but the civil rights movement, led by believers, in the 60's, has allowed a huge step foward, as far as rights for blacks is concerned; Stories like this unfortunately, kept the fire lit to fight;

Reborn, transformed- Kingdom like leaven, leaven is used for negative ( Lk 12:1 ), and good, here, where a lady took, and put into 3 measures of meal, until the whole thing was affected; Point, take truth, and mix it in with all your involvement, until its all true; ( Lk 13:20-21 ); God bless!

BHM- Addie Mae Collins 14, Denise Mcnair 11, Carole Robertson 14, Cynthia Wesley 14, all were attending church at a Batist church in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday 09/15/63, when the church got bombed in a racial attack bombing; Point, again, martyrs like these is why the civil rights movement with Christ in the middle, was important, and has made progress sense these times;

Reborn, transformed- Prov 29:25- The fear of man is a snare, but trust in Lord is safe; Fear keeps you in the the enemies camp; Faith in God's camp;

BHM- Rev George Lee- President of NAACP, known for, and got murdered for trying to get blacks to vote; 05/07/55

Reborn, transformed- Jesus showing believers how to minister to the sick on earth, by commanding the lady bowed over for Satan to let her go, be loosed; Taking our authority over the sick; ( Lk 13:10-13 ) God bless!

Black history month; Emmett Till; Reborn, transformed; PARABLE, Fig tree cut down;

BHM- Emmett Till, was a young 14 yr old boy from Chicago; On vacation in Mississippi, whistled at a white girl, and was found dead days later, killed by white men; All white jury found the white men innocent;

Reborn, transformed- PARABLE of fig tree, that was not producing; Someone, Jesus, interceded for Israel, which moved God to prolong, but still Israel didn't do what needed to be done; ( Lk 13:5-9 ) God bless!

Black history month; Rosa Parks; Reborn, transformed; Calamities not because of sin;

BHM- Remembering, celebrating Rosa Parks; Civil rights leader, known for not being a push over during those times, All starting during a bus boycott; Refused to give up her bus seat when a white bus driver told her to do so for a white male passenger; Lady of faith as well!

Reborn, transformed- Jesus was telling these Pharisees that just because severe events happen, with Pilate killing Galileans, and a building falling on Siloams, doesn't mean that that happen to them, and others because of their sin, and others don't need to repent; Same with these hurricanes, fires, etc, not a result of sin in the cities, result of fallen world ( Gens 3 ), and ALL cities need to repent; ( Lk 13:1-5 )!

BHM- Remembering Harriet Tubman, escaped, and made missionaries help other enslaved people become free; Known as the Moses of her day;

Ps 138:2- God magnifies his word more than his name; Your word is the very integrity of your name, and God can't lie;

Bhm- Lets remember, Martin Luther King jr for this black history month; King was the main voice for the civil rights movement in mid 1960's, and was shot and killed that same decade;
