YEAR IN THE GOSPELS; Doubt of John the Baptist; ( words of Jesus )

John the Baptist, who's only mission in life was to clear the way for Jesus, and was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mom's womb ( Lk 1:13-15 ), STILL doubted; anyone can doubt, but Jesus respond was to go tell John what he knew from ( Isaiah 35 ), and that will overcome his doubt; always the word of God to overcome fear, doubt, unbelief, etc; ( Matt 11:1-5 ) God bless!

As babies desire milk, and we all know the fits babies throw when they are hungry for milk, so we should desire the word of God; to grow! Only way to grow spiritually is through a relationship, through the faith of God, His word! ( 1 Pet 2:2 ) God bless!

PARABLE FRIDAY; Why parables?; ( words of Jesus )

Parables are a spiritual representation in a material form, metaphor, comparing something to something, painting a picture; Jesus said His parables were mysteries to unbelievers, but believers would get the mystery because it is spiritually discerned ( 1 Cor 2:14 ); You need help from the Holy Spirit to understand God, can't just use head knowledge; ( Matt 13:10-15 ) God bless!

YEAR IN THE GOSPELS; Giving, eternal rewards; ( words of Jesus )

Of course there are earthly rewards for sowing on good ground financially, health wise, peace of heart, joy, etc; also, God has a plan that carries over to eternity, and to many people are focused on JUST the now, when God promised to provide now, and eternity; Is anything you do today going to effect eternity?; ( Matt 10:42 ) God bless!

YEAR IN THE GOSPELS; Receive, receive ( words of Jesus )

Receive a prophet as if that prophet is a prophet, and a righteous person as if they are righteous, you will receive what was intended from God in the situation; ( Matt 10:41 ) God bless!

YEAR IN THE GOSPELS; Not about you ( words of Jesus )

People that receive the words you speak, receive Jesus, and people that receive Jesus receive the one that sent Jesus, The Father; so it's The Father's plan, Jesus performed everything, and the Holy Spirit in you that speaks through you! ( Matt 10:40 ) God bless!

YEAR IN THE GOSPELS; Find life, lose life; ( words of Jesus )

He that loses his life,  puts God BEFORE spouse, kids, work, sports, etc, will keep it, have a good relationship with God; he that finds his life, education, spouse, kids, parents, etc, BEFORE God, will lose it, won't enjoy the peace, love, joy, etc, that comes as a by-product of a relationship with God; ( Matt 10:39 ) God bless!

Can't mix the old with new; Jesus is the fulfillment of the law, works; so the new garment is faith in God, of what Jesus has done; ( Lk 5:36-39 ) God bless!

Taking up your cross, is submission to the will of God; Romans made you carry some cross as a sign of submission in Bible says; so carrying your cross daily is submission to the obedience of Christ, grace teaching you daily! ( Matt 10:38 ) God bless!

He that loves His father, mother, children, your life, spouse ( Lk 14:26 ) etc, is not worthy, character, of following Jesus; Rule one of being a disciple of Jesus, not becoming a Christian, is Jesus first, WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE THINK! ( Matt 10:37 ) God bless!

Jesus, the truth, sadly to say will bring divisions along family, because some have truth, others don't; If you are walking in truth, and your whole household isn't, YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE, these verses verifies, God honors people walking in truth, and you will experience biblical fruit living in truth! Jesus came to bring a sword, not peace on earth like many believe; As long as there are men, and evil, it will NEVER be peace on earth; Jesus came to bring a sword, the word, and humans can have peace in their HEARTS in the midst of chaos! ( Matt 10:34 ) God bless!

Your house, life, if it's built on the sayings, words, of Jesus, then it will stand WHEN storms come; if not built on Jesus words, WHEN storms, problems of this world, because we live in a fallen world, come, great will be your fall! ( Matt 7:24-27 ) God bless!

Have to remember the content and time of the gospels; Jesus had not died, and rose, and left the permanent Holy Spirit for us yet, so some verses in the gospel seem challenging to understand like this one; God always hears us because of Christ in us today ( Col 1:27-28 ) ,but Jesus was saying, when you deny Him in a situation the angels of God, CAN'T respond to your defense ( Lk 12:8-9 ); but when you don't deny Him in a situation, the angels of God ONLY respond to Jesus a.k.a the Word ( Rev 19:12; Ps 103:20 ); ( Matt 10:33 ) God bless!

Have you not read what was spoken to you by God ( Matt 22:31 ), Well God has said don't fear here on earth, because to Him you are more important than sparrows; ( Matt 10:31 ) God bless!

God knows the very number of hairs on your head; if don't have any use this verse to stand on!, but, YOU are that important to Him!; ( Matt 10:30 ) God bless!
